CASE STUDY: Wood Wharf, Canary Wharf, UK
Prime Stairs manufactured, delivered, and assisted with the installation of 5220 risers and 1400m of balustrades.
Prime Stairs was contracted to pre-form stairs for multiple high-rise buildings across the prestigious Wood Wharf development in Canary Wharf. Working in close collaboration with other Canary Wharf Contractors covering the construction of basement slabs, drainage systems, and reinforced concrete frames across a series of buildings, ranging from basement structures to 52-storey towers. Prime Stairs worked seamlessly with other contractors covering a scope:
- Groundworks and Infrastructure
- Reinforced Concrete Frames – verticals, slabs, and stair cores
- Precast Elements – design and installation of precast stair flights and walls
- Construction Methods – use of jump cores, screens, and climbing cranes
- Architectural Concrete – construction of feature staircases, urban concrete finishes, and fair-faced concrete work
